Door of Hope is a Christian, family-centered, second-stage supported living home in Reading, Berkshire, for men in recovery from addiction.

About Us

Founded in 1998, Door of Hope exists to provide support, community, and discipleship for men in recovery from life-controlling addictions.

 

We offer supported accommodation in a family environment at Hope House in Reading, Berkshire, for men who have completed detox and rehab and need help building a strong foundation for the next stage of their lives.

 

Residents typically stay for around 2 years. We have supported more than 75 men to date.

Our Goals

  • ​to nurture residents toward a higher level of stability

  • to help them overcoming life-controlling problems

  • to reintegrate residents into the community

  • to empowering each individual into suitable work and/or education

  • to support former residents in their independence and provide an on-going sense of community for them
