Today I am so grateful to come to a place like Hope House where I have had the opportunity to put my life back together. I now have hope and I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Since leaving Hope House in September and going to the Teen Challenge, Leadership Academy I have really been blessed. I really thank God for the time I have had here. God provided by His grace for my next season after having such a significant time at Hope House, being able to get secure in my recovery and grow in my faith after leaving Yeldall Manor. I had become so distraught that my addiction had taken hold of me again, as it was the only thing that was comforting to me, the only thing that had never let me down. I was sleeping rough for many a year after release.

So I had been in treatment for nearly a year and was coming to the end of my time at Yeldall Manor, I had a slip and had a drink and used and consequently was asked to leave the treatment centre which left me in a situation where I had nowhere to go, I knew of Hope House and I knew of people that had been there as well. I arrived at Hope House on the 17th of July 2019, after I was allowed to stay following meeting Jim, Heather, Pete, and Jackie Jackson at an interview. Pete loved it that I brought my mum to the interview, and she wanted to come into the meeting but had to wait in the kitchen. Not long after the interview I had a mental breakdown and they agreed for me to come and stay. (I had met Jim a couple of years before and had been attending groups before applying for residency). T
